Got BSNL Connection

I remember my childhood days. Getting a BSNL Telephone connection is a difficult task and also a costly affair. I did not had a connection till my college days. During my college days, my father use to go to call me on Sundays to my hostel number after 9 PM  (STD @ half rate) from a STD Booth. No just my father, but almost half of the hostel-mate's fathers. My Hostel telephone use to face the peak call attempts during that time.

We use to  fix a time slot for everyone. No-one should talk more than 3 minutes.  We often get into fight over this issue.

Later, We got a own telephone connection at home .The same peak traffic time didn't change but Calling Time from my home changed. My parents started calling on early mornings  for the reason. STD @ half rate

Years Passed, Cellular Technology pitched in India and created a revolution. Thanks to Reliance Rs 501 Mobile phone. Every one got easy access to other thru mobile phone. Mobile phone had become a basic necessity after food, air and shelter. I am not a exceptional too.

I never felt the need of a landline during my bachelor days. After I got married, i had to spend more time with my family. So, I was looking for a broadband connection. Listed out the service providers available in bangalore.

- Hathway

- Reliance WIFI

- BSNL

- Airtel

Hathway was ruled out because of  their great customer service . Thanks to mouthshut.com and the reviews posted by the victims of hathway.

Reliance WIFI- The Service provider asked me to hold on till he pools more people in my area.

Airtel - His network reaches everywhere, but his broadband connection didn't reach my area. When i contacted airtel, the executive said its not feasible at my area.

Finally, left out is BSNL.BSNL broadband comes with the landline. First, we need to get the landline and they will provide the broadband after 15 days.I was little hesitant to go BSNL office because of  mouthshut.com and the reviews. But, i had no options.

I booked a connection at BSNL office, Whitefield around March since i live in Marathahalli.I was told that poeple from BSNL will contact me in a week.  I was  waited for 2 months. MMmmmm, nothing happened.I contacted the customer care executive of  BSNL thru phone. The Customer care executive lady not even listened my query and asked to contact a number which nobody picks up and disconnected the call.

I moved my residence from Marathahalli to Ulsoor on July. I transferred my telephone booking from Whitefield exchange to Indiranagar exchange. I took 15 days for the file to get transfered. I took me another 15 days to go behind the poeple at Ulsoor exchange.

Finally, i got my landline on today (28th Aug 2008). Yet to get broadband connection.

Years Changed,..... Technology changed............. But, one thing that didnot change

Getting a BSNL Telephone connection is (always) a difficult task

ScribeFire - Mozilla Addon

2 years back, when wordpress and blogspot were becoming popular, i was thinking of writing a blogpage. I started a blogpage with a my native place as name since everybody call me by native name. Later, worst things happened in my life. Yes,I got married and i could not continue writing successfully. I mostly posts email forwards.

Now,I'm back with serious thought not only to continue writing ,but with original posts not copying from anyone and no email forwards. I was looking a easiest way to post. When i googled, i found ScribeFire.

ScribeFire, an extension of Firefox ®, enables users to easily drag and drop formatted text from the Web into their blog(s), post entries, take notes, and optimize their ad inventory, directly through the Firefox browser.BTW, i'm writing this post thru ScribeFire.

Good Features

- You can multiple blogs with single composer.
- labeling is very easy
- Saving the draft and retriving it is easy
- The Most important feature is that you can select the text and when you right-click your mouse, the drop-down menu has the option to directly add the selected text to your composed content for posting.

One Annoying thing is that it adds the following line when you do so.
ScribeFire - Fire Up Your Blogging!
Also, the preview offered is not so good.

And there are good features and i have not yet explored it
Readers can use it and give a feedback

This happens only in India

Happen to get this AD Notice on road .... Bangalore has become really high-tech....Click to enlarge the picture....

When one of ur colleague is on leave?

- Know someone who is always seems to be on holiday or annual leave
- Always taking "Business Trips"
- May be they have just got shockingly low immune system and always sick ?

Well, here are couple of ideas to let them know that you are thought of them while they were gone

1. Leave them some flowers

#2 – Leave them some To-Do memos.

#3 – Spruce up their work area with some creative décor.
#4 – Everyone loves presents! Unwrapping presents is half the fun!
#5 – Clean their workspace. And to make sure it stays clean, protect it with something.

#6 – Let them know you looked after their workspace while they were gone and kept “undesirables” at bay.

#7 – Hand-made gifts. We all love them. A little masking tape and some styrofoam goes a long way!

#8 – And finally…
if they’ve had a bit of an “extended” leave, remind them that not much has changed since they’ve been gone.
